Desempe\u00f1an funciones importantes en la producci\u00f3n y el deterioro de los alimentos, las enfermedades de plantas y animales, la medicina, el control biol\u00f3gico y la descomposici\u00f3n.<\/p><p>Estudios m\u00e9dicos recientes est\u00e1n descubriendo que las infecciones f\u00fangicas invasivas causadas por ciertos mohos como Cryptococcus neoformans, Aspergillus fumigatus, Candida albicans, Candida auris (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/sections\/goatsandsoda\/2022\/10\/26\/1131602076\/who-releases-list-of-threatening-fungi-the-most-dangerous-might-surprise-you\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">https:\/\/www.npr.org\/sections\/ goatsandsoda\/2022\/10\/26\/1131602076\/<\/a>) y otras est\u00e1n aumentando, especialmente en pacientes inmunocomprometidos. Adem\u00e1s, estos hongos invasivos se est\u00e1n volviendo m\u00e1s resistentes a los f\u00e1rmacos antimic\u00f3ticos, particularmente en el caso de las infecciones por Aspergillus.<\/p><p>Muchos de estos hongos pueden producir micotoxinas, metabolitos f\u00fangicos relacionados con diversos problemas de salud en humanos y animales. Se ha demostrado que son carcinog\u00e9nicas, inmunosupresoras, hemorr\u00e1gicas, hepatot\u00f3xicas, mutag\u00e9nicas, nefrot\u00f3xicas, neurot\u00f3xicas y teratog\u00e9nicas.<\/p><p>La identificaci\u00f3n de especies f\u00fangicas est\u00e1 adquiriendo una importancia crucial para la selecci\u00f3n de terapias adecuadas. Los recientes descubrimientos de nuevos hongos est\u00e1n cambiando las concepciones tradicionales sobre los contaminantes f\u00fangicos en interiores.<\/p><p>En EMSL Analytical, Inc., realizamos an\u00e1lisis rutinarios para detectar Cryptococcus neoformans, Aspergillus fumigatus, Candida albicans, Candida auris y muchos otros hongos pat\u00f3genos invasores presentes en el medio ambiente.
